SB: What do you think of American Idol?

Eileen: Well a lot of them are great singers it is just maybe they haven't found who they are musically or maybe they are told who they are? I don't know – for us we are on the road trying out our songs, seeing what the people like don't like etc. I mean we are out here improving our skills and showcasing ourselves for record deals.

SB: Do you ever get the feeling people are just looking at you instead of listening to you?

Kathleen: We can tell who is interested in our music. I mean we get a lot of 17 year old boys sitting there puppy-eyed at the side of the stage, but it is all in fun. I am here because I love it.

SB: I go to ask another dumb question and Eileen interjects!

Eileen: It sounds cliché but we really are only interested in the music. I mean there is a lot of fluff out there. We just try and do our best to stay healthy. If we don't get a deal we are still going to be just playing music pure and simple.

SB: Who are your influences?

Kathleen: We like a lot of bands, our main influences are Blue Rodeo, Fleetwood Mac, and we like the sass of Dolly Parton. We know who we are and we hope the public can see we love to perform music.

SB: Thank you for your time. The people out there can decide if country is taking over where rock left off. Check out Higgins at: Higginsmusic.com
