SB: We caught up to Brad Foster the drummer of Skincell. So Brad, what's new?
Brad Foster: Well we are just starting on our 4th coming album.
SB: How's your studio time going?
BF: We are aiming at being a self-contained band. What I mean is we have our own studio. I also like to promote rock shows and this Sept. 3rd I am having an underground extravaganza at the Rollerdome in Prince George, BC. I mean music is getting interesting again, I know bands that are just starting out and spending $35,000 to record their first album that will probably go nowhere especially if they can't play their own songs live.
SB: Sounds painful. How much do you spend to record an album?
BF: About five grand. They are raw sounding records.
SB: Who are your favorite bands of all time?
BF: Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Every rock band kind of comes out of that place.
SB: What makes you a good drummer?
BF: I don't know, I just stay in the pocket and hit my drums hard. I think you are doing a good job as a band when no one stands out.
SB: Slowbellie thanks you for your time Brad!
